Major Vince Godfrey leads the department’s Uniformed Division, which encompasses both the Bureau of Field Operations and the Bureau of Support Services. Together, these bureaus form the backbone of the department’s daily operations and community presence.

The Bureau of Field Operations is the largest and most visible division within the Florissant Police Department. It is comprised of uniformed officers who provide continuous police services to the community, operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week to ensure public safety throughout the city. This bureau includes Uniformed Patrol, the Canine Unit, the Communications Unit, and other essential operational functions. Collectively, these units serve as the frontline of the department’s response efforts, working proactively to prevent crime, respond to emergencies, and maintain a strong, visible presence in Florissant.

The Bureau of Support Services plays a critical role in strengthening both patrol and investigative operations. This bureau delivers key support functions that enhance daily operations, strategic planning, and community-focused initiatives. Areas of responsibility include the Calverton Park Contract Patrol, Recruitment, School Resource Officer Program, Code Enforcement, Traffic Safety Unit, Business Liaison Officer, D.A.R.E., and the Park Police Program.
