Crime Free Program

The Crime Free programs are innovative, law enforcement based crime prevention solutions designed to help keep illegal activity off rental properties.  This program was successfully   developed in 1992 by Tim Zehring of the Mesa Arizona Police Department this program has spread to over 3,000 cities internationally.

In 2016 the City of Florissant began to offer The Crime Free Multi-Housing and Rental Housing Program as a state-of-the-art, crime prevention program designed to reduce crime, drug activity etc. on apartment property and small rental property alike.  The anticipated benefits are reduced police calls for service, a more stable resident base and reduces exposure to civil liability.

The crime free program consists of three phases that must be completed under the supervision of the police department. Phase I which is mandatory per City Of Florissant Residential Rental Property License Ordinance to obtain your license. Phase II CPTED property Survey and Phase III Safety Social (both of which are optional).
