Get Acquainted With Florissant Parks

The City, through its Parks and Recreation Department, offers 20 parks comprising almost 400 acres, a variety of recreation facilities, including two community centers, an aquatic center, an 18-hole public golf course, a covered ice rink and many other recreation programs and services to the residents of Florissant.  

There are fifteen pavilions available for reservation by residents only. Pavilions may be reserved beginning the first business day in January of each year with at least two-week advance reservation required. Pavilions may be reserved by telephone or in person at either the JJE Center of JFK Community Center. Pavilion fees are non-refundable.

The City provides a total of eighteen lighted tennis courts. Only residents may use the tennis courts, as well as the multi-purpose courts. However, each resident may have one guest for play upon payments of the applicable fee.

Effective 9/29/2020 the new park hours are:

Dawn until  8 p.m. or ½ hour after the last scheduled game

With the exception of Tower Court Park Dawn until 10 p.m.

. The only domesticated animals allowed in the parks are dogs and cats, which must be on a leash no longer than six feet.

Pavillion Reservation Information

Florissant residents with a valid resident identification card may reserve a pavilion at our parks for the season beginning April 1st, 2019 and ending October 31st, 2019. An updated resident card will be required. See the "Resident Identification Cards" tab for more information on obtaining a resident identification card. A resident may call or come to either community center to make a reservation. Ball field us with a pavilion requires a separate permit. Guests wishing to use Bangert Pool must follow all rules and regulations and adhere to all minimum supervision ratios. Anyone at a party wishing to receive resident rates at the pool must present their own valid resident card. Any special requests such as bounce houses, pony ride, etc must be pre approved and the request should be made at the time of reservation. NO DJS ARE ALLOWED AT THE PARKS.
