Bidders can mail or deliver bids to the attention of Purchasing at 955 Rue Saint Francois, Florissant, MO 63031. Bids must be sealed and clearly marked with the bid number and bid name. NO FAXED OR EMAILED BIDS ACCEPTED.  The City reserves the right to split bid items among the vendors on a multiple basis, or award to one vendor as the overall low bidder.

INCLEMENT WEATHER: The City may hold unopened bids and delay the scheduled bid opening if weather conditions are such that the Purchasing Department is closed.  Information may be obtained by calling 314-839-7621. A message will be left notifying vendors of a delay in bid opening.

BIDDER PRE-QUALIFICATION: Public Works project bids require the contractor to be pre-qualified.  To pre-qualify, the contractor shall submit all information available information that demonstrates qualification to perform the work under the contract.  The City shall request the right to request additional information that it deems necessary to determine the contractor's ability to perform the work.  Each contractor shall contact the Department of Public Works to obtain more information regarding the requirements for pre-qualification.  You will find the "Contractor Pre-Qualification Questionnaire" here.

RESERVATION FOR REJECTION AND AWARD:  The City of Florissant reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or parts of bids, to waive irregularities and technicalities, and to request rebids on the required materials.  The City also reserves the right to award the contract on such material the City deems will best serve its interests.  It further reserves the right to award the contract on a split order bases, lump sum, or individual item basis, or such combination as shall best serve the interests of the City unless otherwise stated.  The City also reserves the right to waive minor variations to specifications (Interpretation of minor variations will be made by applicable City Department personnel).
