The City of Florissant is aware that 3500 St. Catherine (the former St. Rose/St. Thomas site) is under contract with Fourte Developments LLC and Avenue Development, and that there has been a lot of discussion within the community about this. The Administration has told residents we would continue to keep them informed with any information we receive, which is the reason for this latest update.

Avenue Development notified the City of Florissant today, October 27th, that they have officially withdrawn their application with the MHDC (Missouri Housing Development Commission) for the proposed 192-unit family apartments called the “Lofts at St. Catherine.”

They also informed the city that they do plan to move forward with their proposal for the 100-unit Senior resident only development called, the “Reserve at St. Catherine.”

The state application for the 100-unit Senior only development is still expected to take several months before approval or denial would be granted by MHDC. After the MHDC process for the senior proposal the developers would then approach the city for Planning and Zoning and City Council approval, which has not happened yet. We will continue to share any further updates as we receive them.
