Doing Business With The City of Florissant Remotely


The City of Florissant is closely monitoring the CDC and St. Louis County Health Department regarding updates on the COVID-19 virus. One of the primary duties of the city is to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents. Below is a timeline of COVID-19 as it relates to the St. Louis County and Florissant area. We will be updating this page as more information becomes available.


We are asking Florissant residents and community members to help us minimize unnecessary public contact during this public health crisis. Please contact the City by phone (314) 921-5700 or online through the “Action Center” button on the home page of the City’s website at Staff members will respond to phone messages and online requests as quickly as possible.


The Police Department remains open. The following buildings are closed to the public until further notice: City Hall except for the rear lobby area, James J. Eagan Center and John F. Kennedy Center, Health Department, Government Building, Justice Center and Senior Office.

Permits, plans and related application forms for the Departments of Community Development, Public Works and City Clerk’s Office may be dropped off in a drop box that will be inside the rear lobby at City Hall. For more information, call (314) 921-5700. We ask that if you need to make a payment to mail in your check to: Florissant City Hall, 955 rue St. Francois Street, Florissant MO 63031 and make it attention to the appropriate department to be processed properly.


Public Works Department:

Please follow the link on the main web page” Public Works Permit Applications”. Please read the document ” What you need to know about submitting Public Works permit applications”. Any questions can be directed to the Public Works Department at 314-839-7648.

Community Development:

  • On April 1st Home Improvement applications will be available on line or can be picked up at the rear lobby of City Hall 955 Rue St. Francois, Florissant, MO 63031

    • Home Improvement Seminar that was scheduled for April 8th has been cancelled as well as any individual appointments. However we can be reached at 314-839-7680 for direct phone assistance.

    City Clerk’s Department:

    Liquor license applications can be obtained by emailing a request to the City Clerk’s office at


    Until further notice all city events have been postponed and or cancelled until further notice. City Staff and Florissant Council members continue to review plans for City Council meetings, Planning & Zoning meetings and other public meetings.

    Public Works Department:

    • Applications may be dropped off as above or submitted via email at

    • Here is what is required to register a dog or cat in Florissant

      1. Proof of CURRENT rabies shot (MUST provide paperwork, not a picture of the tag)
      2. Breed of dog/cat and notated if animal is spayed or neutered
      3. Color of said animal
      4. If animal is a Pit Bull current rabies and proof of spay/neuter is mandatory
      5. Owners name, current address and current phone number

    Parks Department:

    • Centers are closed through March 31st
      • Registration for all programs has been postponed until April 15th

        All building and pavilion rentals are cancelled through April 12th, if you have not been called and need to arrange for a refund please call the Parks Office at 314-839-7670.

        All park playgrounds and restrooms are closed until further notice.

        All Easter Activities are cancelled which includes The Underwater Egg Hunt, Easter Hoppenings, and Egg Decorating.

        All leagues can still register but the start date for the leagues could possibly be extended.

        No ball field permits are being issued.

      Senior Office:

      • The Senior Center is closed to the public but will continue to operate. If you have questions or if you need assistance during this time, please call the Senior Office at 314-839-7604.

      • Our Florissant Bus Transportation,314-839-1776, will continue to run allowing seniors to go to the grocery store, doctor appointments and dialysis appointments.

      • All Senior Citizen Activities are cancelled through the month of April including the lunch program, all club meetings, senior citizen trips and the Senior Citizen Resource Fair.

      • All Oasis Classes and Programs held at the Senior Center are cancelled until May 15, 2020.

      • All AARP Tax Appointments nationwide are cancelled.

      Florissant Golf Club:

      COVID-19 Update March 23rd, 2020

      The Florissant Golf Club will be remaining open for the time being. In addition to the previously mentioned restrictions and sanitization procedures, we will be implementing the following to comply with social distancing requirements in the county executive order:

      • All golfers must maintain a distance of 6ft between themselves and others at all times.

      • All golfers must either ride one person to a cart or choose to walk the course. Due to this policy, there may be times where carts are unavailable.

      • The clubhouse is closed with the exception of checking in for golf, using the restrooms, and picking up carry-out food and drink orders.

      We encourage everyone to take advantage of our over the phone check-in when paying with credit card or to bring exact change when paying with cash. We also encourage all golfers to have a tee time set in advance. We will continue to send out any updates to the situation as we are made aware of them.

      • There is a drop box on the exterior wall of the entrance for payments or payments can be made online as follows: for violations filed with the court PRIOR to 11-1-19 for all other violations
