Lt. Dan Biermann was born and raised in the City of Florissant and he is a Graduate of McCluer North High School.  Lt. Biermann obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Administration of Justice from The University of Missouri-St. Louis. Lt. Biermann also obtained his Masters of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Louisville.

Lt. Biermann began his law enforcement career in 1987 as a member of the St. Louis County Police Department as a Police Officer. Lt. Biermann joined the Florissant Police Department as a Police Officer in 1989. In 1994 Lt. Biermann was assigned to the Departments Detective Bureau where during his tenure as a Detective he was a member of the Greater St. Louis Major Case Squad and worked property crimes, Burglary and Crimes against Persons.

Lt. Biermann was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2007 and was assigned to Bureau of Field Operations. In 2008 Lt. Biermann was assigned as a supervisor in the Bureau of Investigations.   Lt. Biermann was promoted to Lieutenant in 2013 where he served in the B.F.O as a watch commander. In 2015 Lt. Biermann was assigned as the Commander of the Bureau of Investigations where he is in charge of Fourteen Detectives, six corrections Officers, and two Detective Sergeants.  Also in 2015 Lt. Biermann graduated from the Southern Police Institute’s Executive Leadership/Administrative Officers course.
