Gary Gaertner, Jr.'s Biography:
Judge Gaertner was appointed to the Missouri Court of Appeals in 2009.
Judge Gaertner was an Associate at the Law Firm of Bryan Cave and later became a State Prosecutor with the Circuit Attorney's Office of St. Louis City.
In 1995, Judge Gaertner was appointed an Assistant Federal Prosecutor with the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Missouri. There he served as Chair of the United Stated Department of Justice Insurance Fraud Task Force.
In 2000, Judge Gaertner was appointed a Circuit Judge for St. Louis County.
Judge Gaertner received his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, magna cum laude, from Saint Louis University School of Business. He also received his Juris Doctorate degree, cum laude, from Saint Louis University School of Law.
Judge Gaertner is a member of the Saint Louis County Bar Association, the Bar Association of Metropolitan Saint Louis and the Illinois Bar Association. He is also a member of The Missouri Bar and serves on their Legislative Committee.
In 1999, Judge Gaertner received the John C. Shepherd Professionalism Award from the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis.
Judge Gaertner and his wife have seven children and reside in St. Louis County.
