CITY OF FLORISSANT, O'FALLON, AND ST. LOUIS COUNTY BEGIN JOINT
FAIR HOUSING STUDY
HUD-Required Analysis Will Guide Future Fair Housing Policy

The City of Florissant Office of Community Development, along with the City of O'Fallon and St. Louis County, will initiate a series of public meetings on April 8, 2014 as a part of the preparation of an “Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice (AI).”  The “AI” is a study required by HUD as a condition for the three entitlement communities to receive Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding.

The Analysis will identify barriers to equal access to housing and will propose fair and affordable housing strategies to overcome those impediments.

The process is heavily influenced by the opinions and perceptions of local residents, whose input is solicited through public meetings and an online survey.  The public meetings, are being held in Clayton, Florissant, and O'Fallon are open to the general public, and provide area residents with the opportunity to express general opinions and concerns regarding fair housing.   The meetings will be held during afternoon and evenings.
