Valley of Flowers Festival
Volunteers were out in large numbers to assist the Florissant Police Department at the annual Valley of Flowers festival. The VIPS and CERT volunteers assisted with the soapbox derby, while Police Explorers assisted with parking and the Reserve Police Officers assisted with security for the event. Click here for photos…

St. Louis Cardinal/ Kansas City Life Baseball Card Program:
The St. Louis Are Police Chiefs Association relies heavily on the countless hours the Florissant Police Department volunteers contribute to this program. Over 200,000 sets of baseball cards (that’s about 5,400,000 baseball cards) are shipped each year to the Florissant Police Department. Our volunteers sort and distribute the baseball cards to the police departments of the bi-state area. Click here for photos….

Memorial Day Services:
Members of the volunteer group honored all who serve in the annual Memorial Day Services held at the James J. Eagan Center. Many of our volunteers are veterans themselves.
The Florissant Police Officers Welfare Association:
The 4 th Annual Benefit Golf Tournament was held at the Old Florissant Golf Course, and volunteers contributed numerous hours assisting this worthwhile cause.

Police Volunteers collect for the Missouri Special Olympics at Gateway International Speedway:
The Florissant Police Volunteers were out in force at Gateway International during the “Wallace Family Tribute”, collecting money for the Missouri Special Olympics. It was a sell out crowd and race fans were very generous. Police Departments from the bi-state area were recognized for their contributions to the Special Olympics by driving on the track before the race. Click here for photos…
2005 National Night Out:
Florissant residents sponsored block parties for the 22nd Annual National Night Out against crime and drug prevention event on August 2nd. National Night Out (NNO) is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for anticrime efforts, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police community partnerships and send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. This year the City of Florissant also held a NNO gathering at the James J. Eagan Center, complete with hot dogs, chips, soda and ice cream and a live band. Click here for photos…
