The City through its Parks and Recreation Department, offers twenty Parks comprising almost 400 acres, a variety of  Recreation Facilities including two community centers and an Aquatic Center, 18 hole Golf Course, a covered ice rink, skateboard park, 600 seat Theatre and many recreation programs and services to the residents of Florissant. All Florissant parks are open to the public but residents have first priority over non-residents to use the parks and recreation facilities. All Florissant residents 6 or older are eligible for resident cards.  Florissant residents receive lower admission, rental and program registration fees when applicable.

FLORISSANT RESIDENT CARDS

Residents Cards must be renewed every even numbered year such as 2010,2012. To renew a card proof of residency must be shown.

HOWEVER IF YOU ARE PURCHASING A PASS SUCH AS FITNESS CENTER OR POOL, YOU MUST BRING PROOF OF RESIDENCY TO RECEIVE RESIDENT RATES

Resident Identification Card

A current Resident card is required for ages 6 and over, for access to the James J. Eagan Center, JFK Community Center, to obtain picnic permits, admittance to Pools and Ice Rink and all other Recreation Facilities and to receive resident rates for classes and room rentals.   Initial Cards are free of charge.

Every even numbered year (such as 2012), all cards will need to be renewed and proof of residency must be shown.   Individuals interested in purchasing a season pass (pool, fitness center, ice rink) may purchase their pass any time, passes are good for one year and may be renewed 30 before expiration.   In order to receive resident rates, proof of residency is required every year.  

Proof of Residency Requirements

Individuals 18 years and older, must provide a valid photo I.D. and one of the following articles that have been mailed: UNPAID utility bill, received within the last 30 days, bearing your Florissant address, or a monthly business statement mailed to your address.  Junk mail and magazines do not qualify as proof of residency.  Individuals under 18 must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardian. Assistance in determining other items which may be used for proof of residency is available by calling 921-4466.

Business Owners

The owner of any business located within the city and their immediate family shall be deemed a resident and eligible to receive resident cards. If more than one person owns the business, then the individual who signs the business license application and their immediate family will be the ones eligible to receive a resident card.  To obtain a resident card you must come up to the James J. Eagan Center.  We will take any pictures or updated your card.  You will not be issued the card until we can verify that you are the Business Owner through our Finance Department this may take up to 2 days.  At that time we will mail you your cards.

Replacement Cards

If a card is lost or stolen, a replacement card can be purchased during photo Id hours.   Current identification showing name and address must be presented.

Golden Age Pass (GAP) Cards

Anyone 60 years of age or older is qualified to receive a Florissant GAP card.   An acknowledgement on their Resident Card   entitles the holder to receive a discounted rate on most programs and admission fees.   It also allows them a special discount at some local businesses.   For more information on the Senior programs available contact the Senior Citizens Office in City Hall at 839-7604.

FITNESS CENTER POLICY

Liability Release Forms are Required to be signed, kept on file.   Release forms are available at each of the facilities.

18 & older             liability release form
16-17                    parental liability release form
13-15                    parental liability release form and must be accompanied by the parent or legal                                  guardian during the fitness center visit.
No one12 and under allowed.

Passes   will be valid for one year form the date of purchase.

Non-Residents   18 & older paying the daily fee must be accompanied by a resident and purchase a guest pass.

JFK Fitness Center Hours

              Monday-Friday               7 AM -9 PM
              Saturday & Sunday         8 AM -9 PM
              Closed at 5 PM on the 3rd  Friday of the Month
              October—April For Youth Dances.

During Summer Hours the Buildings will close at 5:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays.  Summer Hours begin the weekend of Memorial Day and end on Labor Day.
