SEPTEMBER
*Florissant Fine Arts Council Presents:
“3 REDNECK TENORS in BROADWAY BOUND”

Sept. 18 – 8:00 p.m.
The Florissant Fine Arts Council opens its 2010-2011 Applause Applause
Series with 3 Redneck Tenors in Broadway Bound. This is a show that mixes cornball
humor, slapstick pratfallery and jaw-dropping vocal prowess. Savor the artful silliness that writer/singer Matthew Lord has wrapped around his talents and those of three other performers. The actual tally is two tenors, one baritone and a bass. The singers have their eyes on the big time, meaning Broadway. Their manager, the Colonel, is working on it. For the first act, the four singers prowl their way through various familiar show tunes. By the time ACT II dawns, the colonel has negotiated an audition in the Big Apple.
ADMISSION: $27.00 Adults; $25.00 Seniors/Students

OCTOBER
*Florissant Fine Arts Council Presents:
“FOREVER PLAID”

Oct. 29 – 8:00 p.m.
It is February 9, 1964, and four young male singers have landed their first big gig at an airport bar, but on the way to pick up their tuxes, they are slammed broadside by a busload of Catholic teenagers. That’s where our story begins, as the boys are given a second chance to fulfill their dreams and perform the concert that never was. Singing in delicious ‘50s four-part harmony, the boys will serenade you with “Three Coins In the Fountain,” “Sixteen Tons,” “Chain Gang,” “Heart and Soul” and “Love Is A Many Splendored Thing.” Brought to us by the Barter Theatre, the State Theatre of Georgia this is “A funny feel-good musical for all ages!”
ADMISSION: $27.00 Adults; $25.00 Seniors/Students
