Conference Theme: “Preparing for Tomorrow’s Disasters TODAY from Lessons Learned Yesterday”
St. Louis Central Citizen Corp Council and St. Luke’s Hospital will host workshops designed to prepare citizens, members of Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT), elected officials and Emergency Managers for all types of disasters.
CONFERENCE WORKSHOPS:Developing Standard Processes for Disaster Relief using the NIMS Framework. START Triage, Care of Special Needs Population, How to put together your disaster kit, National Incident Management System (100 & 700), Pandemic Preparedness, Bomb Threat Management, Preparing Your Congregation for Disaster, to name a FEW of the twenty-plus workshops. ALL WORKSHOPS ARE FREE!!!
CONFERENCE HIGHTLIGHTS: Opening Ceremonies speaker from the National Citizen Corp Council, Town hall meeting with the FEMA Administrator, Updates on National Incident Management System and National Response Framework, Rob Watkins – Emergency Responder experiences when deployed to disasters, Disaster Drill, CERT merchandise, Raffle of Emergency Preparedness Kits to conference participants, and much…much more!!!
