Get Acquainted With Florissant Parks

Parks:   The City, through its Parks and Recreation Department, offers 20 parks comprising almost 400 acres, a variety of recreation facilities, including two community centers, an aquatic center, an 18-hole public golf course, a covered ice rink, skateboard park and many recreation programs and services to the residents of Florissant.

There are fifteen pavilions available for reservation by residents only at a cost of $25.00 per day.   Pavilions may be reserved beginning January 2 of each year with at least two-week advance reservation required.   Pavilions may be reserved by telephone or in person at either the Civic Center of JFK Community Center.

The City provides a total of eighteen lighted tennis courts.   Only residents may use the tennis courts, as well as the multi-purpose courts.   However, each resident may have one guest for play upon payments of the applicable fee.

The hours for Florissant parks are 8 am to 11 pm daily.   The only domesticated animals allowed in the parks are dogs and cats, which must be on a leash no longer than six feet.

The staff of the Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to answer any questions pertaining to Florissant's parks and recreation programs.   Please call 921-4466 for additional information.   The Department Information Hotline telephone number is 921-4468.
