The Public Works Department is a highly diverse department composed of four (4) separate divisions: Building, Engineering, Health & Street. These various divisions are responsible for the health and safety of our residents by providing various inspections on existing and new construction, maintaining the structural safety of our bridges, operating an animal control and shelter facility, and maintaining all City-owned streets, just to name a few.
The Public Works department employs 49 full-time and 14 part-time personnel, as well as many seasonal employees.
