Florissant Recycling Center
#1 St Ferdinand Park Drive, Florissant, Missouri 63033

The average household generates a ton of garbage each year. If ten families cut waste by just 10%, these ten families would prevent a ton of garbage from ending up in a landfill.

One simple way to cut down on the amount of trash within your home is to think before you buy.

  • Save on packaging by buying in bulk.
  • Buy longer-lasting, durable goods that don't need replacing.
  • Avoid disposable grocery bags; return them to the store or save them for other uses. These bags are great for cleaning up after pets during walks. They're also good for lining small trash containers as opposed to buying small liners.
  • Use re-sealable containers rather than plastic wrap.

Why bother?
1. Recycling trash helps us all breathe easier by cutting down on pollution.
2. Recycling saves raw materials like trees and metal ore.
3. Finally, it reduces our City's need for landfill space.

So, help save our planet by recycling whenever possible.
Use our drop-off center as often as you can.
