Apply for Minimum Housing Inspection at City Hall lower level. Applications can be completed by the owner of property, agent, or power of attorney. Scheduling an inspection and paying the fee should be completed at least 48 hours in advance. The fee is $30 for an apartment and $40 for a house or condo. The City of Florissant inspection staff has inspected thousands of properties and are highly experienced and competent. An inspection checklist is used for the inspection of the property. Owner / Agent will receive a copy of the checklist when the inspection is complete. The city allows 120 days to complete repairs noted on inspection checklist from the date of the initial inspection. Reinspections are scheduled by calling Public Works at 839-7648 or 839-7649. There is no charge for the first reinspection. However, a $25.00 fee may be required for second and third reinspections if necessary. When all items on the inspection checklist are completed and approved by the City of Florissant Inspector the city will issue to the owner a compliance of code letter.
