Mr. Carl A. “Dutch” Schultz has represented the National Football League as the St. Louis Security Representative since 1995. Mr. Schultz is also a decorated and retired Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and a decorated Vietnam War Veteran.
Currently, Mr. Schultz is responsible for all investigative and security matters in Eastern Missouri and Arkansas for the N.F.L. He also coordinates the security at the Edward Jones Dome during all Saint Louis Rams home games. He has also assisted in the coordination of security for seven N.F.L. Super Bowl events.
Mr. Schultz is also the owner of the Travis Group, L.L.C., which provides full service investigative, security and executive protection services to private and United States Government Agencies.
Mr. Schultz’s was a Special Agent for 24 years with the FBI. Most notably during his career he was awarded the FBI Medal of Valor and the FBI Star for bravery after sustaining a gunshot wound during a gun battle with a bank robber. The Medal of Valor is the FBI’s highest award for heroism.
Also during his time with the FBI Mr. Schultz was a Speaker and Police Instructor, a Police Training Coordinator, a Counselor at the FBI National Academy (FBINA), and a FBINA Coordinator. He also served as a Coordinator for the Presidential Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force and as Supervisor for the Organized Crime/ Drug Squad in Saint Louis.
Mr. Schultz also served the FBI as a Hostage Negotiator on the Overseas Critical Incident Negotiation Team and was also a SWAT Team Member and Coordinator. He served as an Overseas Training Instructor for “Support for Eastern European Democracies” and as an Instructor to Polish Law Enforcement and Prosecutors on Organized Crime.
Mr. Schultz served in the United States Marine Corps as a Captain during the Vietnam Conflict. Mr. Schultz was wounded twice during the war and awarded several decorations for bravery and heroism including two Purple Hearts, a Bronze Star and the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry.
Mr. Schultz is a graduate of the Hostage Negotiation Course at the Royal British Police Institute in Henden, England. He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Utica College Of Syracuse University and a Master of Arts Degree in Administration of Justice from Webster University. Mr. Schultz has many other certifications.
