Florissant is at its most beautiful in the spring and the city's annual Valley of Flowers Festival is a celebration to welcome spring.
This event, known as the "First Festival of Spring", started in 1963 and has been offered every year since. The Valley of Flowers Festival has now grown to encompass several sites in the Florissant area.
