Mayor Obtains Additional Street Funding

Mayor Robert G. Lowery, Sr. of Florissant announced today that an additional $242,000 was appropriated by the City Council at Monday's meeting. The Mayor stressed that repairing the condition of Florissant's streets is his #1 priority. The "Major Street Repair" bid has been awarded to L. Krupp and two other bids will be opening on the 23rd and 24th of April. The City crews are working every day to fill pot holes and crack sealing in preparation of the upcoming resurfacing projects.

The Mayor said, "I travel the roads every day and am very aware of the necessary improvements required to meet the long-standing standards for our City. Please be patient - it cannot happen overnight, but it will happen."
