Major Street Repairs
Mayor Robert G. Lowery, Sr. City of Florissant reported today extensive street repairs will be accomplished in 2007.
Major Street Repairs:
- Dove Drive (Swan to Chickadee)
- Gerald Drive (Lindsay to Jenkee)
- Carla Drive (No. New Florissant Rd. to west end)
- Stallion Drive (No. Waterford to Bay Meadows)
Slurry Seal Work:
- There will be over 130 streets in the City that will receive work. These streets will be listed on the City’s website at www.florissantmo.com
Concrete Pavement Replacement:
- There will be over 35 streets in the City that will receive work. These street will be listed on the City’s website at www.florissantmo.com
The Mayor stated that he was proud of the cooperation of the City Council and their appropriation of the necessary funds to accomplish improvements of the streets that are in most need. He also stated that we would continue to beautify the City and maintain its high quality. He also gave praise to Mr. Lou Jearls, Director of Public Works and his staff for their continued hard work and diligence on these projects.
The Mayor also mentioned that the noticeable difference between the City of Florissant’s streets and those of the surrounding area during the recent snow and ice storm. He gives high praise to the Florissant Street Department for their extreme dedication and loyalty.
