Mayor Appoints New Executive Assistant
September 26, 2007Mayor Robert G. Lowery, Sr. announced today that Ms. Beth Goldstein will be appointed as his Executive Assistant to help carry out his daily duties. Ms. Goldstein and her family were born and raised in the City of Florissant's Old Town area. She and her husband, Craig, are members of Sacred Heart Church and they have 2 children. Their son, Matt, attends Forest Park Community College on a baseball scholarship and their daughter, Heather, attends Incarnate Word Academy.
Mayor Lowery said this appointment is necessary as his present Assistant, Ms. Michelle Buresh, has announced her resignation effective October 12, 2007. She, her husband, and their son will be returning to Ms. Buresh's childhood home of Richmond, Virginia, where her husband has accepted a new position. The Mayor said Ms. Buresh will be greatly missed and has been a superb asset to him and his office but he understands her reason to be near her family.
Mayor Lowery said, "We wish Michelle happiness in her journey back home and welcome Ms. Goldstein in her new undertaking."
