Meridian Information
February 3, 2009
Dear Resident of Florissant,
Meridian Waste has been awarded the solid waste hauling contract for your community. We need to introduce ourselves, explain the services we offer, the fees for those services and the picku~5 schedule for your residence. So you know, we have been doing business in your community for over 3 years now and we have maintained an excellent level of customer satisfaction. We will continue that for all of our existing and new customers. However, please note that if you are a current customer, there is a chance you will have a different day of trash, recycling and yard waste pickup.
The minimum level of service we offer is once a week pickup for trash and once a week pickup for recyclables. The fee for those services is $13.60 per month and pickup will be on separate days. (St. Louis County has mandated that all residences pay for this level of service) In addition we offer optional yard waste pickup for $8.15 per month, billed quarterly — you must pay for three months of service at a time. We also offer bulk pickup once per month on your third pickup day of that month. This is limited to one item per month weighing a maximum of 60 pounds and this service is offered January through October. There is no additional charge for these pickups. We will be glad to pickup additional bulk items but there will be a $15 charge for each of those items. We will also pickup white goods (larger appliances) for $20 per item. Please call 314.291.3131 for any bulk or white good pickups. Finally, we offer toter rentals. These are 95 gallon toters on wheels for $3.00 per month.
