Lowery Expresses Deep Concern About Some New Developments
November 1, 2007

Mayor Robert G. Lowery, Sr. announced today that he is in receipt of a letter from a Behlmann Farms resident expressing their opinion that someone needs to help with the builder, McBride & Sons. The letter states that there are issues such as grading issues causing leaking and flooding basements, lack of maintenance, rotting and dead trees and the lake having an algae problem. Mayor Lowery said that although this subdivision is not in the Florissant City Limits, he is concerned about these issues as they reflect poorly on all of North County. He said that he has spoken with St. Louis County Councilman Mike O'Mara and that they will be working together to bring satisfaction to these homeowners. Councilman O'Mara informed Mayor Lowery that he has met with the McBride representatives and that some of the problems have already been corrected.

Mayor Lowery said, "I want to assure the people of Florissant and North County that my office and the offices of the County Council will work with builders and residents to be certain that problems are dealt with and residents are satisfied that their complaints are not landing on deaf ears."

Mayor Lowery will be forwarding a copy of the letter from the residents of Behlmann Farms and this news release to the Honorable Jay Nixon of the Missouri State Attorney General's Office for his review.
