City Hall, 955 rue St Francois, Florissant. Please allow two weeks for processing.

Garage Sale Permits
The City of Florissant requires permits for garage sales and estate sales. A permit may be obtained from the receptionist's desk at City Hall or you may have it faxed to you by calling 921-5700.

The list of rules and regulations for both garage and estate sales are as follows:

RULES AND REGULATIONS PERTAINING TO GARAGE/YARD/ MOVING SALES:
1. Sunday sales are not permitted.
2. Two garage / moving / yard sales are allowed per year at said location.
3. Sale cannot be held more than two (2) consecutive days.
4. All sales must be held behind the building line or the front most portion of the building, whichever is closer to the front property line.
5. One (1) sign, no larger than six (6) square feet, may be displayed on the property the day of the sale, and no more than two (2) other signs providing directions to the property. All signs must be removed by 5:00 p.m. on date of sale.
6. Permit is to be posted on property the day of the sale.
7. No other signs, flags, streamers, balloons, etc. are allowed at location of sale or in the vicinity surrounding the sale.
8. VIOLATIONS OF THE RULES ARE SUBJECT TO COURT SUMMONS /ACTION

1. An estate sale is the sale of goods or products that are part of an estate and must take place on the premises subject to the estate.
2. One estate sale is allowed per year at said location.
