CITY COUNCIL

OPEN EXECUTIVE SESSION

                                                                                                     January 9, 2012

The City Council of the City of Florissant met in open Executive Session on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 6:30 pm. in the Council Conference Room at 955 rue St. Francois, with President English presiding.  On Roll Call the following Council members were present: English, Schildroth, Lee, McKay, Stinnett, Eagan, Grib, Hernandez absent and Schmidt.  Also present were Mayor Thomas Schneider and the City Clerk Karen Goodwin

              The Council discussed putting together potential dates for the review of the Charter.  Council members gave the City Clerk calendars they prepared with dates they were not available. 

              Councilman Schmidt stated that he had a couple of items that the Council may want to consider at the next meeting in order for them to be included on the April Ballot.  Since there is already a City wide election for the annexation, the cost would be minimal.  He shared the amendments he asked the City Attorney to prepare and asked the City Clerk to distribute them via email to the Council for their review.  They Mayor cautioned that if these amendments were to be able to go on the April ballot, they would have to be passed in three readings at the next meeting. 

              Councilman Grib stated that the issue of not being able to serve on Planning and Zoning and Board of Adjustment simultaneously should be addressed on this ballot as well and asked for it to be added to the list as well as on the next executive session for discussion.

              Councilman Grib asked for a discussion of undomesticated animals on the next executive session as well. 

There being no further business to discuss Councilman Schildroth motioned to adjourn, seconded by Grib, motion carried and the meeting adjourned at 6:46 pm.
