Finance Department

 

The Finance Department is responsible for all financial functions for the City of Florissant under the supervision of Randal J. McDaniel, Director of Finance.   The Finance Department supplies accounting services for citywide financial resources in accordance of City Ordinances, Federal and State Laws.

Accounting functions include:   cash handling, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, annual business licenses, property accounting, bi-weekly payroll, financial system maintenance / enhancement and coordinating the annual budget preparation. The Finance Department also maintains the City's general ledger and reporting activity of several different funds including the General Fund, Special Revenue Funds, Debt Service Funds, Enterprise Funds, Internal Service Funds, Capital Improvement Funds and Trust & Agency Funds.   Finance monitors all City of Florissant moneys to ensure the highest rate of return as possible while safeguarding the City's investments.
